As an ecologically equipped business, we take responsibility for our environment very seriously and we are working to achieve improvements in all areas, to provide future generations with a beautiful and healthy environment. It is important for us to actively include our guests in our environmental measures and bring them closer to the real meaning of environmental protection. The goal of our actions is to continue and improve the environmental protection.

The following measures and areas are thereby especially important to us:

•The motivation of our staff to perform environmentally friendly procedures through regular training and opportunities to actively participate in the environmental programme

•Requesting our guests to actively participate in the implementation of our environmental programme

•Efficient use of energy and water

•Avoidance of waste through selectively purchasing products

•Avoidance of water pollution through the economic use of eco-friendly washing and cleaning agents

•Avoidance of environmentally damaging and dangerous substances for construction and renovation work

•Use of food products from the region as well as biological cultivation

•Purchase of products, which help to preserve the environment

•Increase of guest satisfaction through high service quality

In order to outwardly communicate our services to the environment, we are working to meet the requirements of the Austrian environment logo for tourist accommodation.

This environment logo gives consumers , public as well as private buyers, the opportunity to easily recognise environmentally friendly products, which is examined for quality against state-authorised criteria.

With the criteria of the Austrian environment logo for tourist accommodation, the largest environmental damage, which exists in the course of the three phases of the service life cycle (purchase, supply, disposal) should be reduced as far as possible. These are the in particular the following points:

•Limiting energy consumption,

•Limiting water consumption,

•Limiting waste,

•Preferred use of renewable energy sources and substances, which are less

environmentally damaging,

•Promotion of environmental communication and environmental education.

In order to reduce environmental damage, we are working to purchase more products with environmental labelling and also informing our guests on the opportunities to support our environmental goals.
